should have wrote it in our game thread. Was more like telling
Jacksboro about the confrontation 🙂

It was a good battle. The Germans almost seized the day, but the breakdown of their heavy machine gun
was a prelude to what was to come. Visibility was good, but the deep frost proved fatal to the more
sophisticated weapons. The Russian heavy machine soon succumbed to the cold as well, “not enough
of the enemy out in the open to keep it warm” a Russian soldier said. A slow beginning for the
Germans soon became a rapid advance that would prove to be their undoing. Without leaving garrison
troops to watch over captured areas, the Red Army repopulated the captured buildings, setting up deadly
hindrances that proved too difficult for them to overcome. In a battle fought with shovels and knives
the battle was decided. Red Star forces prevailed and thus the fight was won.

Hi Andy, hi forum,

I agree with Andy, the mouse wheel should operate in the opposite of the
direction it currently does now. I always zoom out instead of zoom in.
Some how it is backwards compared to what I am used to.

I laughed at “The Russian sniper ( another female?) killed my leader in the east” remembering my own Roza Shanina
showing off her marksmanship against Jacksboro’s German forces in a previous engagement 🙂

Be lucky that Ben’s forces didn’t go berserk 🙂 I was trying to find the SL or ASL rules about Russian berserk units.

Street dash, that is something I have to remember to use.

Does a flame thrower hit out to two hexes? At half power ?

What new map ? 🙂 Pioneers ? Artillery ?

I have noticed one thing, when creating a new game, when you select
scenario, then all of the games you have played and saved seem to
come up there as well. Can be a little confusing when setting up
a new game.

Thanks Jacksboro ! 🙂 Was a nice walk-through and training exercise, learned a lot from the session, and it was fun 🙂

Jacksboro had the upper hand with his squads, his medium and heavy machine guns were shredding my troops… 🙁

But, thank the gods for my sniper, she was working overtime and really caused havoc amongst Jackboro’s troops 🙂
She even managed to pick off a couple of his leaders 😀 much to my glee

Yes, it is ok. My tz is GMT (UTC), alrighty, I will select one of the maps.
Will be great, I am sure 🙂 I just finished playing a game on the tractor factory
map against myself. Germans almost prevailed, I made some blunders with the Russians.
I kept forgetting to bring up the reinforcements from the edge of the map. Was there
such a thing as a reinforcement phase in SL or ASL ? Will have to give the manual some
reading, I admit, I have only glanced through it 🙂

I unpacked the game, and to start it I simply double click
the “ww2t_0.1.65a.x86_64” icon, and the game starts.
But by now, I think you are getting the game started, but
you are not seeing the scenarios ?
